Tennessee Wesleyan College’s Education Angels will be hosting a Chili Cook-Off on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Glenn Lowe Dining Room in Sherman Hall. TWC faculty and staff will be cooking various chili recipes that will be judged by the Education Angels. Student tickets are $5 and community tickets are $7.
“We plan to use the money we raise from our Chili Cook-Off to help community schools and children,” said Rachel McDonald, president of TWC’s Education Angels, a service organization for TWC education majors.
Tickets for the Cook-Off can be purchased from an Education Angels member. For more information, contact Education Angels President Rachel McDonald at 423-314-0195 or Dr. Nancy Gregg at firstname.lastname@example.org.
TWC’s Education Angels is committed to giving back to local school systems. The organization’s past service projects include donating “We Care Packages” full of markers, pens, paper, highlighters, crayons, and other supplies to local city and county schools, as well as providing cleanup and educational support for the Athens City Park wetlands area.
