TWC has accepted a generous donation from Mike Bevins that provided a new pitching machine for TWC Baseball.

Tennessee Wesleyan College has accepted a generous donation from Mike Bevins that provided a new pitching machine for TWC Baseball. TWC Head Baseball Coach Billy Berry and TWC President Dr. Harley Knowles recently met Bevins, executive vice president-trust of Citizens National Bank, at the Jack Bowling Field to thank him for the donation.

“Billy and I are thrilled to have this pitching machine for the players for the coming season,” said Dr. Knowles. “I sincerely appreciate Mike’s generosity.”

Bevins made the donation to Wesleyan to support the Bulldogs, who were the 2012 NAIA World Series National Champions.

“I originally met Coach Berry through watching his son, Brady and my oldest grandson, Matthew play baseball in a local youth baseball program,” said Bevins. “During our ‘fence’ time we talked baseball, especially TWC baseball. He shared with me some of the needs that his very successful program still needed. I was only happy to make this contribution to allow for the purchase of the pitching machine, which will provide improved training for Wesleyan’s student athletes.”
