Professor Biography

Office Hours

I graduated from Pensacola High School, Pensacola, FL, June 3, 1969.  During the 3 years at high school I attended the United States Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp as part of my curriculum.  After high school I enlisted in the UASF and remained until I retired in 1995.  I started as an Airman Basic and worked my way up through the ranks and retired as an officer at the rank of Captain.  As an enlisted member I worked in four career fields, Electrical Power Production Specialist, Education Specialist, Flight Facilities Equipment Repair Specialist, and Ground Radio Repair Specialist.  After 7 years as an enlisted member I was selected to finish college and receive a commission as a Telecommunications/Computer Officer which I did in 1983.  As an officer I was selected to serve in numerous leadership roles and my last assignment prior to retirement was commander.  My awards and certificates are far too numerous to list here but suffice to say I was in the very top percentage of my peers.  The best part of my military career was traveling all over the world and all the friends I made along the way from the lowest levels all the way to the White House.

I retired on a Friday and started my new job the following Monday as the Senior Systems Analyst for the largest USAF medical facility.  I later moved to Alabama to help care for my sick Father and worked as the Network Administrator and Assistant Project Manger for one of the largest telecommunications companies in the southeast.  In 1999 I moved here to accept my current position teaching all computer and information systems classes and selected management classes.  I enjoy teaching here and look forward to a long successful career.
