Course Description:

Welcome to Molecular Biology.  This course is designed to broaden your understanding of the molecular mechanisms controlling cellular function with emphasis given to structure and maintenance of DNA, information flow, genetic control mechanisms, DNA alteration and manipulation. The accompanying lab exposes students to common procedures in molecular biology including DNA isolation, plasmid prep, PCR, transformation, expression, etc. utilizing site-directed mutagenesis lab series
