To apply for graduation, students should fill
out an Intent to Graduate form, which can
be obtained at the Registrar’s Office. This form
should be completed at least two semesters
before the anticipated graduation date to allow
time for all remaining courses listed on the
Intent to be completed. This form is the only
way for the Registrar’s Office to know when
students are nearing graduation and, as a
result, when to send out graduation information
(for Senior Salute), order caps and gowns, order
diplomas, and make other preparations to include
students in the May Commencement Ceremony.
Once an Intent to Graduate has been filed,
students must be sure to report any change of
name, address, major, or intended graduation
date to the Registrar’s Office immediately.
Please remember the following requirements:
- To receive a degree at Tennessee Wesleyan
College, students must have completed at least
128 semester hours of academic work, of which
30 hours must be at the 300-400 level. (Some
majors require more than 128 hours. See major
listings in the catalog for more details.)
- Candidates for graduation must have
completed the appropriate All College
Requirements and a major area of study with a
minimum TWC grade point average of 2.0 or
higher.
