Donny Mayfield, MS, ATC, LAT
Head Athletic Trainer
Donny joined the TWC athletic staff in 1998 as Head Athletic
Trainer. Donny completed his graduate work at the University
of Kentucky (’99), where he served as graduate assistant to
Cross Country, Track and Field, and Women’s Soccer. He is a
certified member of the National Athletic Trainer’s
Association and holds licensure in the state of Tennessee. A
native of Concord, Georgia, he is also a graduate of Valdosta
State University (’97). In addition to his duties as Head
Athletic Trainer, he also serves as an Assistant Professor for
the TWC Exercise and Sports Sciences Department and is an
American Red Cross instructor. Personally he enjoys watching
UGA football, golfing, and spending time with his friends and
family.
Sheri
Hampton, MS, ATC, LAT
Assistant
Athletic Trainer
Sheri joined the TWC athletic staff in 2006 as Assistant
Athletic Trainer. Prior to TWC she was a graduate assistant
athletic trainer at Emory University where she worked
primarily with Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball,
Volleyball, and Softball at Emory. Her graduate work was
completed at Georgia State University (’06) where she earned
her Masters of Science in Sports Medicine. She is a certified
member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and
holds licensure in the state of Tennessee. Prior to her time
at Emory, she attended Samford University and earned her
Bachelors of Education in Athletic Training in May of 2004. In
addition to her duties as Assistant Athletic Trainer, she also
serves as an adjunct instructor in the TWC Exercise and Sport
Sciences Department as well as serves as the TWC staff sponsor
for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Originally she is from
Marietta, GA and personally she enjoys working out, quilting,
watching movies, and spending time with her family.
Danielle
Voss, MA, ATC, LAT
Assistant
Athletic Trainer
Danielle Voss joined the TWC athletic staff in 2007 as
Assistant Athletic Trainer. Prior to TWC she pursued her
Master of Arts in Physical Education at University of North
Carolina Pembroke. While there she worked as a graduate
assistant working primarily with Men’s and Women’s
Soccer, Softball, and Baseball. She is a certified member of
the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and holds
licensure in the state of Tennessee. Prior to her time at
Pembroke, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Athletic
Training from Mars Hill College in 2005. Originally, she is
from Greensboro, NC and personally she enjoys Duke Basketball,
working out, FCA, and attending athletic events.
Samuel
J. Olsen II, MD
Internal
Medicine and Sports Medicine Specialist
Dr. Olsen grew up in Dayton, TN and went on to Cedarville
University to study biology. He graduated in the top 10% of
his medical school class at East Tennessee State University.
He did his internal medicine residency at the University of
Virginia at Roanoke, and then completed his sports medicine
fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in
Birmingham, Alabama. While there he worked with Birmingham
Southern College Athletics. His research interest primarily is
in injury prevention for baseball players. He now practices
general medicine and sports medicine in Etowah, TN and has
been working as part of the TWC sports medicine staff since
2005. Personally, he enjoys fishing, hunting, reading, and
spending time with his wife and young children.
Eric
P. Clarke, M.D., M.S., F.A.A.O.S.
Orthopedic
Surgeon & Sports Medicine Specialist
In 2004 Dr. Clarke joined the sports medicine staff at TWC. He
is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a
member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports
Medicine, and a member of the Hamilton County Medical Society.
He works with Scenic City Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine out
of Chattanooga, TN. Prior to working with TWC Athletics he was
a team physician for the Buffalo Bills (NFL) and Buffalo
Sabres (NHL). |
