Business Administration
This program is designed to
provide an intensive exposure to the
fundamentals of business administration within a
liberal arts environment.
All students are required to
complete the core of 36 semester hours and at
least one emphasis. Additional areas of
emphasis, while broadening the student’s
exposure, may result in hours in excess of the
128 required to graduate.
The Professional Accountancy
Emphasis is designed to provide accounting
students the opportunity for additional course
work in accounting and other areas. Students
completing This emphasis will meet the 150-hour
education requirement for taking the Certified
Public Accountant (CPA) examination in
Tennessee.
A minor in Business
Administration is available to majors outside
the Business Administration area.
Degrees and Major Options
The B.S. Degree is available to students who
meet Tennessee Wesleyan College’s Basic All
College Requirements and who major in Business
Administration (which includes emphases in
Accounting, Computer Information Systems,
Finance, General Management, Healthcare
Management, Human Resources Management,
International Management, and Professional
Accountancy).
The B.A.S. Degree is
designed for students who hold the Associate of
Applied Science degree (or two years of
college/university credit), who complete the set
of All College Requirements designated for this
degree, and who major in Business
Administration. Possible emphases are identical
to those listed for the B.S. Degree, above.
