Where to find information about Instructional Technology

There are several journals that are very informative. The following are recommended, and the subscriptions are usually free for educational employees. Each one is also on the Web.

  This program allows you to view flash swf files created with Flash. These are often added to Web pages as animated graphics and movies.

  QuickTime is a cross-platform, multimedia player. It works in Windows and Macintosh machines. It shows pictures, plays sounds, and shows movies. Not all file types will play on Quicktime, however. (See RealPlayer)

  TUCOWS is a good source of Internet related software. Shareware, freeware, and items for purchase. Each product has a description and a rating.

  Windows Media Viewer is the native media player for Internet Explorer. The latest version can be found here
