CAROL A. DECKER, Ph.D., PHR
CURRICULUM
VITAE
PROFESSIONAL
SUMMARY
My professional qualifications offer a unique blend
of business/industry knowledge and education. Such a background includes Marketing,
Management, Human Resource Management/Training, Computer Information Systems,
and Accounting knowledge supplemented with specific experiences in teaching,
and management. My concentrated efforts are upon effective business
development and the conveyance of a variety of business discipline knowledges for transfer to work-based performance in both
industry and educational environments. My business and development
initiatives allow keen insight to meeting socio-technical and cognitive
demands for industry and a student’s need for
relevant education for practical application. All of which is done in the
framework for more organizationally efficient and effective operations. My
current research includes exploration of the dimensions of self-concept/self-efficacy
for its relevance in improving technological human performance for education
and organizational effectiveness. Using self-concept/self-efficacy as a noted
links between human development initiatives and workplace performance, I
employ such assessment tools to determine the enhancers and inhibitors to
student/employee productivity. My publications may be found in the
Computers in Human Behavior, The Journal of International Business
Disciplines, Human Resource Development Quarterly, American Society for
Training and Development, and the Journal of Career and Technical Education.
