TWC
Student Life: Health and Wellness
The
years you spend in college will be some of the most formative of your life,
filled with exciting and scary changes. You will learn how to balance work with
a social life, form new and closer relationships, develop personal and career
goals, and gain the independence that comes with growing into an adult.
Tennessee Wesleyan College provides its students with a variety of options to
fit the students' needs. Depending on your needs, you may meet individually with
the Dean of Students, or the College Chaplain. When necessary, students are
provided with a limited number of visits to a The Family Center (a professional
counseling center). Students may contact the Student Life Office at (423)
746-5216 or call The Family Center directly at (423) 745-8942.
TWC also
partners with Dr. Kim Breeden to provide medical assistance for minor illnesses
and injuries. Dr. Breeden’s office accepts most insurance and will work to make
appointments for students as soon as possible. Dr. Breeden’s office may be
contacted at (423) 744-8755.
Athens
Regional Medical Center is located minutes from campus. They provide urgent
care services including 24 hour Emergency Room facilities. Athens Regional may
be contacted at (423) 745-1411.
