MATCHING
GIFTS
Many companies offer employees a matching gift
benefit. The employer will often match the original gift dollar-for-dollar.
When making your gift to TWC, check first to see if your employer has a
corporate matching gift program.
The process for submitting a matching gift claim differs from company to
company. Some require a completed paper form, others have an online system,
still others request that claims be filed by telephone. In any case, if your
company does provide a matching gift claim form, please complete it and send it
to:
Tennessee Wesleyan College
Office of Development
PO Box 40
Athens, TN 37303
Don’t forget—matching gifts count toward donor
recognition levels! As long as the match amount is received by June 30, you will
receive the additional credit for that fiscal year. If you have questions, feel
free to contact the Development Office at 423.746.5210.
ENDOWMENTS &
MEMORIALS
The College can establish a special endowment
or memorial gift in perpetuity to meet your personal or estate plans and
desires. Please contact the Development Office at 423.746.5210 for details and
requirements for this specialized gift.
PLANNED GIFT
You can provide a gift of personal assets
through your will. The College will work with you and your estate planner in
designing a planned gift that meets both your short and long term financial
goals. Planned gifts can include cash, stocks, bonds, retirement plan assets,
insurance policies or other negotiable items.
Bequests are often a significant source of financial support for the College. If
you wish to include Tennessee Wesleyan College in your will please use the
following language:
"I give, devise, and bequeath (the sum
of/percentage of/residue of) my estate to Tennessee Wesleyan College, a
non-profit corporation with principal offices in Athens, Tennessee, to be
utilized for the general benefit of Tennessee Wesleyan College (or the
specified program at Tennessee Wesleyan College).
