Hall of Fame

  • The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to identify and honor in a permanent manner those individuals who have achieved excellence in athletics at Tennessee Wesleyan College and others who have contributed to the advancement of Tennessee Wesleyan athletics by their support of time, resources, or both.

    The award is divided into three categories that will be considered for inclusion in the Hall of Fame.  Click here to view a list of previous winners.

Outstanding Athlete

Those who have achieved excellence in athletics at Tennessee Wesleyan College and are 15 years removed from his/her playing date.

Outstanding
Coach*

Those who have advanced and enhanced the concept of athletics at Tennessee Wesleyan College through their talents as coaches in their respective communities. 

Outstanding Contributor

 

Those who have contributed to the advancement of Tennessee Wesleyan College athletics and who are classified as non-athletes or coaches, and who may or may not have matriculated at Tennessee Wesleyan College.
*A former TWC coach must have coached at TWC for ten years or have been out of a coaching position at TWC for a period of five years. To be considered as a nominee as a coach away from TWC the individual nominated must have coached at least 10 years.

Nominations for inductions into the Hall of Fame may be made by any Tennessee Wesleyan alumnus or by any member of the Hall of Fame Committee. Nominations must be in writing and must provide as complete information as possible including: name of nominee, present address, occupation, a brief summary of her/her athletic career and the particular exceptional accomplishments that you think might qualify him/her for induction. The person making the nomination should sign the nomination form. No individuals will be considered for induction unless they have been formally nominated in writing and submitted to the Alumni Relations Office.
