TWC: Office of Academic Affairs

Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs!  Our office is responsible for academic departments on campus, the Registrar’s Office, the Library faculty and staff, and the Office of Campus Information Technology.  Additionally, the Academic Success Center, designed to support intellectually challenged students and all diverse learners, reports to the Office of Academic Affairs as well.

Within this web page, users will be able to review faculty qualifications and course learning outcomes.

The Academic Strategic and Assessment Plans (ASAPs) provide an overview of goals and objectives by departments and assist faculty members with “closing the loop” at the end of each academic year.

The template for the Annual Report, completed each year by department chairs, details the planning premises that guide department members in regard to statistical data on students, faculty, and academic programs.  The Annual Reports also contain analyses of the previous academic year and sets forth goals and budget preparation for the upcoming one.

Visitors to this web site may also view various assessment instruments, including those utilized in the evaluation of new and veteran faculty.  Recent national test scores, such as Praxis II results for teacher education candidates, and the NCEX-RN scores for nursing majors, may also be found on this site.

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), designed to enhance the writing and speaking skills of undergraduates through a service learning model, may be viewed on this site in 2008-2009.  Faculty members at TWC are excited about the QEP and are hopeful that the plan will be implemented no later than the fall of 2010.

The staff and faculty at TWC are committed to high academic expectations yet provide the one-on-one support that students have come to expect from our College.  Again—welcome to the web site of the Office of Academic Affairs.  Our goal is to help students, staff, and faculty Learn, Serve, Lead…and Believe.

All the best,
Dr. Suzanne T. Hine
Vice President for Academic Affairs
