The administration of
Tennessee Wesleyan College
is divided into five main
sections: academics,
administration, enrollment
services, institutional
research and effectiveness
and student life, with a
vice president responsible
for each specific area of
activity. Vice presidents
report directly to the
president with the exception
of the vice president of
financial affairs who
reports to the senior vice
president. All serve as
members of the Senior Staff.
Stan Harrison
President
As president, working in
close cooperation with the
Senior Staff, Stan Harrison
provides leadership and
administrative services to
all areas of campus life.
Advancing the image of the
College through community
involvement and fundraising
activities, the president is
the principal spokesperson
to the Board of Trustees and
works closely with the
chairman of the Board and
the Executive Committee to
manage the College and
fulfill its mission. The
president also holds
responsibility for issues of
accreditation, with
particular reference to the
Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools, and
serves as the principal
liaison to the Holston
Conference, the Tennessee
Independent College and
Universities Association (TICUA)
and the community at large.

Larry Wallace
Senior Vice President
The senior vice president,
Larry Wallace, is
responsible for all
financial affairs of the
College, including the
Business Office and all
functions therein. Wallace
serves as the point of
contact with all banks and
other financial institutions
and is responsible for the
procurement of all
third-party contracts and
services. Additional
responsibilities involve
supervision of the following
Administration Division
functions: human resources,
public relations,
communications and
marketing, college editor
and web coordinator,
facilities management, EPA
compliance, OSHA compliance,
special projects and
governmental relations.
Suzanne Hine
Vice President of
Academics
Reporting to and advising
the president in regard to
faculty and curricular
concerns, Dr. Suzanne Hine
holds specific
responsibility for
supervising the College’s
academic program, managing
its day-to-day functions,
and inspiring the faculty to
self-governance and to
excellence in its standards,
as well as to pedagogical
and curricular innovation.
Moreover, as vice president
for academic affairs, Hine
represents the academic
program and faculty in her
work with internal and
external constituencies.
This division also includes
the chaplain, Merner
Pfeiffer Library, the Office
of the Registrar and Campus
Information Technology.
Enrollment
Services
As vice president for
enrollment services, Stan
Harrison holds
responsibility for all
aspects of enrollment and
admissions for the College,
supervision of the financial
aid and athletics
departments, and in keeping
the senior staff and Board
of Trustees informed of all
matters regarding these
issues.
Marty Chambers
Vice President of
Financial
Affairs
Martha Chambers serves the
College as the vice
president of financial
affairs and is responsible
for maintaining a permanent
record of the financial
transactions of the College
that are audited annually
and reported to the
president and the Board.
Additional responsibilities
include, regularly apprising
the president and senior
vice president of the
financial status of the
College, supervision of the
Business Office and
preparation of all financial
statements.
Dr.
Jessica Dunsmore
Assistant Vice President
for Institutional
Effectiveness and Research
As the assistant vice
president for institutional
effectiveness and research,
Dr. Jessica Dunsmore assumes
primary responsibility for
working with faculty and
administration in all areas
of research and assessment
for the College. Dunsmore
reports directly to the
president and assumes a
leadership role for
articulating the critical
information and data needed
for decision making at the
cabinet level. She also
manages all institutional
data and student learning
outcomes assessment
activity, coordinates all
evaluation instruments and
monitors distribution of
reporting information for
internal and external
agencies.
Scott Mashburn
Vice President of
Student
Life
Dr. Scott Mashburn holds
responsibility for
co-curricular activities of
the campus; holds management
responsibility for career
services; oversees the
administration of the
residence halls; and
provides leadership for the
effective administration of
the Student Government
Association, fraternity and
sorority organizations, and
all other campus
co-curricular organizations.
It is the responsibility of
the vice president for
student life to maintain a
close working relationship
with the entire student
body, to keep the president
informed of student concerns
and to serve as an advocate
for students in all matters
related to the
administration. Mashburn
also serves as the liaison
for contracted services in
food service, security and
the campus bookstore.
